This is my pre-recorded session for XDC 2026, introducing the Wayland content frame rate protocol: a way for clients to tell the compositor the native cadence of the content they are presenting, so the display pipeline can be driven at a rate that actually matches it instead of forcing everything to the output’s fixed refresh rate.
